Tatooine has been a busy place in the last galactic week...a rouge Imperial fleet has been harassing incoming freighters in system. Last credible reports pointed to a significant capital ship presence of a Victory-Class Star destroyer as well as a hyperspace interdictor vessel. So far, no exchange of fire has occured, but Imperial and UFoP vessels have come close to blows. Local forces are quiet on their intentions, but increasing amounts of forces and defensive preperation point to war. Increasing numbers of UFoP and UFS vessels have been countered by increased amounts of Imperial assualt craft. USAT Tatooine forces have also countered, attempting to prepare for the defense of Tatooine. We are still waiting on official releases from either the Imperials, or local defending forces.

On the home front, High General Kezie has pledged support to the Bestine Tri-City alliance and already, a Heavy Transport of Tragolite Federation Soldiers have arrived and integrated with Tri-City SDF forces, erecting defensive and offensive weaponry around the three cities. Components of the re-organized 5th fleet have entered the Tatooine system to defend both the Tri-City Alliance, Obanna station, and civilian populations. Admiral Colin Hackett has pledged defense of Tatooie civilians as well as Tri-City assets.


The buildup of forces around Tatooie have diverted attention from the growing Zerg threat in the outer rim, along with general galactic disconent, experts in the financial fields are calling for increased wealth of defense and armament corporations, as well as mercenary corporations. Buy, Buy, Buy, is the general consensus on the trading markets as brokers scramble to cover the increased demand.
