A list that started in the hundreds of thousands and saw very little cutting was finalized after last night’s Republic-wide primaries. turnout was estimated to be somewhere of 88% of all registered voters, a strong showing for the Chief of State positions first public election. In the past Chief of State was also Head of the Senate, and was elected by senators, however some governmental reforms signed in before Princess Leia Organa Solo's retirement from that office separated the positions, making the Chief of State and 2nd of State none Senate positions. below are the final Twenty Candidates, who have already started their campaigning for the final election taking place later this year. Valek Hornen Uldir Lassiter Elayne Kavos Xanatos Tershin Danni Montoya Elaiza Eldin Del Puto Chun Kardal Cyan Fortinet Oola Vance Solan Sode Demaera Knesos Lonus Molokai Soryn Picus Lora Fodao Ashley Yavok Quin Arden Fein Nekor Wolf Cormin Xamie Bishto Stargate program to Continue Corellia- Defense Force officials have released documents today stating that they intend to continue their Stargate operations though with reduced budget costs, stating "potential enemies use these gates, and leaving these gates undiscovered and on our planets could lead to backdoors in our defense networks." officials also state that plans on creating military teams that would use said stargates for various missions has been suspended, citing that despite the numerous gates found on republic controlled worlds none have been found that could be associated with any potential threats in the Republics mind. Jedi Temple on Coruscant "Officially" opens Coruscant- Jedi Master Skywalker and a number of Jedi celebrated the official opening of the Jedi Temple with a number of senators and Dignitaries. Although the Temple has been in some form of use for two years now, it was considered incomplete and until now unavailable to the public. Master Skywalker’s decision to keep the Praxium on Yavin as the Orders primary residence and place of training has made the Temple more of a public face for the Jedi than an actual place of learning. A majority of the Temple is a museum of the Jedi known history and practices, an attempt to educate the public who often see almost no difference between the Jedi and Sith, or younger population who grew up under Palatines’ reign and had no chance to learn at all. Some of the Temple is intended to be training grounds however, and a number of Masters will reside here to be a link between the New Republic government and the Jedi Order.
