The New Republic, in an attempt to spread the joys of the Thanksgiving holiday to other worlds and poverty stricken populations, launched a program where hundreds of turkeys were dropped from orbit onto Tatooine.
"The Idea was great" said one crewman, "Unfortunately we didn't take gravity into affect."
The birds gained lethal velocity as they came down through Tatooines atmosphere driving the carcasses though walls and destroying homes, buildings and vehicles.
In one tragic case a person was struck tragiclly on the head and killed instantly while trying to kill a person in one particular darkened ally.
"It was crazy, one moment he was standing with his knife at my throat, and the next moment his head was replaced with a turkey carcass, it was tragic" said his near victim.
The Sarlacc was also another tragic loss in this avian bombing, when a number of turkeys were able to choke the giant being which had been an icon of the local desert for many generations, and often a great way to get rid of unwanted children, debt collectors, spouses, ect.
Fires were started in one town when turkeys punctured several holes into a fulling stations gas tank unpleasing waves of fuel, followed by another turkey which struck a transformer and exploded, igniting the fuel.
Our final tragic tragedy comes from the Saint Woolamanders home for disadvantaged Vampires and Zombies, when tragically, turkeys began puncturing holes in the wall. Zombies lumbering around the area were mowed down by the dozens while the holes began letting light form the twin suns through, vaporizing countless Vampires and leaving tons of ash, which one volunteer remarked, "this is going to be a pain to clean up"
