Det 5:58am, October 20, 2002 [Edit] [Delete]	Ok, everyones seen a rant or two, I know mikeys had one over a subject or two, but now its my turn. I think the quaility in the rps at the tina are really going to hell, and I think the biggest reasons are some of the really powerful characters created recently and the lack of controls over factions and such. I know for the most part this is all supposed to be as rule free as possible, but I dont think its possible to keep this place going with what we are currently doing. Thantos is my biggest gripe, its one thing to have a god chacater in some private rp you set up with friends, but Thantos is somthing that has ways of affect all rps, and then noone can do anything if he attacks them because hes supposed to be a big almighty god who can do whatever he wants because hes invicible. I think super creatures and such should be kept to low level rps that will not affect the whole of the rp, because I for one dont wanna deal with freak gods, if I wanted to I would create a god killing character. We need to set up rules to keep the powers and such of characters down to a realistic level that keeps it fair for everyone and still allow for a degree of fun. I think another problem, though this subject I know next to nothing, is factions. I think too many people focus on factions which contain only 3 or 4 IRL people and then countless number of OOC people, making them factions big enough to vie for controll of the galaxy. I think if we set up limits, to kepe all the factions small and keep the technology levesl down, we would not only keep the fun of factions, but actually more straagey because you have less ships to blindlessy throw in. I also feel that by keeping the factions down and such it allows for new ones to squeeze in without risking obliteration. I repeat, I DO not know much if anything about the faction thingsy so my feelings on them may not be valid. BUT I do feel we must set up rules, and ones that will be enforced, to keep the quaility of our rps up while still having fun, god chars are fine when in private rps that affect only those who want to be part of it, but when you try to do this to a whole rp, you tend to upset those who dont wnat to be involved, and at the same time encurage others to create crappy chars that have no history, no quircks or anything that makes them special, just stupid super powered gods that sound somthing like the dbz people who we got to seperate from our rps a time ago so we would nt have to deal with all of them. I have lots of ideas for how we can do all this, but I will need suport, because I suppose there might be a large number of people satisfied with the way things are. But I encurage people to think about what ive said, and to end this... I have only one way to describe Thantos. A newbie who hasnt rpied in his whole life could have created somthing better, I have never tood for characters like that in the past and I dont think it should be stood for today

As I've said before, he was created to be taken down by about a dozen player characters. If you go in lone wolf and try to be a hero, your gonna fucking die. Simple as that.He's not God, he's just hard. And yet, no one's cared enough about the rp to try and stop him. "Hey, we've got spirits floating through the sky and Jawas bleeding in the the streets. I don't care who's doing it and I don't plan on looking into it." And if your so scared about my evil god character comming after you, I was planning to send a lacky to fight you. A gun lackie! Easy force pull, force dodge, block shit and cut them in half! Your good at that shit, you do it all the time! Which brings me to my next point. As for other "God" characters, lemme tell you why I feel there's so many running about. Ever face a jedi playing a regular character? It's a bigger pain in the ass then fighting most gods. If you want to regulate god characters, regulate jedi. And don't give me that bullshit about having a website regulating jedi. No one knows where the fuck it is and no one fucking follows it. Topic Number Three. Your correct about the faction thing. You do not know much about it. Your feelings on them aren't valid. The people involved in the Thanatos rp are having a great time so far. Points to Zon's post. I tried to get others involved. I sent a lacky to fight you Det, I'm so sorry. How about this! This plotline is more original for a jedi anyways! Get this man!! There's a "Dark" Jedi serving Thanatos!! He uses the force!!! He's evil!! Now you HAVE to go kill him. That's what you jedi do right? Fuck, that's all you people ever fucking do. So bash my "Unoriginal" Thanatos. The character I have a three page bio written up for and a backstory writtin up for everything that's transgressed so far. Get your fucking facts straight before you attack my work and try to get a mass fucking colition together to stop my "God" character. All because I sent a lacky after you so you might be able to join in, participate, and have fun. Now I see why everyone stays away from jedi. Call me a newbie...your fucking clueless.

Det 6:51am, October 20, 2002 [Edit] [Delete]	I am working on regulating the jedi, trying to go through whatever lists of force powers I can find and either trying to modify them to fit or remove them, then when I finish with that I plan on posting it for revisions and suggestions, then get it put into the rules. I think alot of peoples gripes about the jedi and force is valid so I was trying to set up somthing to change it. The website dosent regulate the jedi at the moment its jsut a site of information, that and I dont have the adress at the time myself, I keep losing it. I also do not go off hunting darksiders like many people like too, I belive as long as they dont hurt me other any innocents then I have no quarrels with them, though sometimes I do try to convernt them to the lightside. I do seem to lack alot of facts on your Thanatos char besides the spelling part. I had seen no evidice of this attempt to make a cololition, I saw nothing more than another attempt to kill everyone. Hopefully ill have the first draft of the force power list idea done soon.

And I've only seen 2 or three jedi hunting down darkies. those would be like maybe Noah(altho i think he hunted down lighties more),and one or two others i cant remember. The only time ive used my jedi to fight sith, was when Mike and traest used sith to attack,(And I admit i was being a pussy about the outcome.)Or when I'm attacked by a sith. So, I'm not going to get into this, because I kinda think The thanatos rp will be good if we can get a dozen chars to acctually do it. But with the thing saying'hunting down darkies are the only thing they do', I just had to put my 2 cents in. Darkies ussually hunt the jedi8 down, not the reverse of it. Sending lackies are fine with me, because just sending your strongest char isnt really fair. And I was there reading what was happening between shauns char and thanatos. But the only thing i have a problem is when people with sith chars always or sometimes makes them as powerful as Palpy and Maul combined. I'm not trying to start a bitch fest all tho it might sound that way. But, I just dont think its right to have a god character like that. But with Thanatos, I can understand because I was there and read the absorbing of the souls or whatever he said. And its an rp for everyone, but not really private (am i wrong?). My two cents..

Having some evil guy drop in that kills others and turns them into raging skeletons. Or a monster is more to your liking? then use that. What I'm saying, is that you really don't have to have some insainly big RP...keep it small like it used to be. That way others can get involved, and let their characters evolve into what you already are. Complaining of the ''n00bies''? Then give them a chance to grow. The good times from old need to come back. That's all there is to it. Bring 'em back! Who's with me?

I bet you cant name one that doesnt say he tries to force push or something. But every jedi around now trains, and uses the level they are at. I dont see how thats being unlimited.

Jon Perkins 11:16pm, October 20, 2002 [Edit] [Delete]	How about a moderator for jedi chars. he/She should be knowledgeable on all jedi training, powers, blah blah. He could decide how powerful a jedi is in thier powers by training and level. Just a suggestion but I think it sounds good.

Det 11:54pm, October 20, 2002 [Edit] [Delete]	I think a force moderator of sorts would be a good idea, i also like the idea of choosing someone who would not have a force using character keeping it as unbiased as possible. And Jedi chars have been known to twist or just plain abuse force abilitys in the past, which is why its been a big prob, it would be nice to see the jedi toned down to more realistic levels.
