| Economic Improvements in Mos Eisley |
William Sanjet 11:23pm, January 04, 2006 [Edit] [Delete] | On behalf of Shinra Inc, I am here to inform the public of the latest improvements the corporation is doing to improve the quality of life in Mos Eisley. The list of projects the company has implemented will improve the economy and society of all on Tatooine.
With the creation of the Shinra Tower and the activation of the reactor, the corporation has begun installing street lamps and lighting throughout the city. Any businesses wishing to switch over to Shinra's electrical system can do so at a reduced rate.
The corporation has also purchased a large amount of land around the tower to begin constructing Shinra Row, which will be one of the largest market areas on the planet. The corporation has begin constructing the servant allocation center in the area and encourages businesses to rent out buildings in Shinra Row. Not only is rent low in the area, but it would place businesses in a centralized location, garuenteed to increase profits due to the location of other nearby businesses. Associates at the Shinra Tower can assist you in setting up a business in Shinra Row.
The next big phase of construction will be a collesium. The collesium will host monthly bazaars, tournaments and sporting events. Construction will begin within the next three months.
Once again, we'd like to thank the people of Tatooine for their business and hope that we can do more to give back to the community. |

Doctor Ericks 2:10am, January 06, 2006 [Edit] [Delete] | Shall I bring attention to the fact that The Servent Allocation Center is a hive of scum that were transferred to our planet as part of a plea bargain in exchange for thier lives? These, servents are dangerous criminals, it is not uncommon for them to be murderers. These Criminals who were such horrible people on thier own planets, are now being shipped here to work in our homes and businesses. I say No. |
| Uh huh. |
General Kael 3:29am, January 06, 2006 [Edit] [Delete] | I haven't seen this much bitching since I tried to help you people. Have fun Shinra. |
| |
William Sanjet 8:24pm, January 06, 2006 [Edit] [Delete] | The people at the servant allocation center are not capable of hurting anyone. If they did, they couldn't escape, and the center keeps track and monitors every servant. Those in Neo Midgar prisons are placed in labor camps. There is no difference between the servants working in the prisons or working as servants. There are no guards in neo midgar prisons either and we've had great successes with this program. High class CEO's from Neo Midgar make use of the program and there has never been a recorded case of the servant causing harm to the consumer. |
| No more |
Chairman Chenko 8:47pm, January 06, 2006 [Edit] [Delete] | The problems here are 1. Open Slavery on Tatooine, Criminal or not. After all we've worked for, we can't allow such practices to take hold.
2. These people are extraterrestrial Criminals, murderers, etc. I know I spea for many of my peers and constituants when I say We don't want them. Plus as slaves, they work for free, There are so many lower-class citizens of Tatooine that will go hungry and homeless because of this unjust program. Granted with massive funding by dedicated supporting agencies we are able to help these unfortunate people, it is still a poor system. I say get them out! Take them back to your NEo-Midgar, because I am putting forth recommendations to restrict Slave-holdings on the planet. |
| |
Xander Greyson 8:58pm, January 06, 2006 [Edit] [Delete] | Restrict slave holdings? I must be blunt... Who the fuck do you think you are? There is no central government, there is no ruling faction... Thus there are no laws. My business requires slave labor to keep things moving smoothly, it's a way of life. I fully support Shinra's Servant allocation program as it has been proven safe and morally just as those sold into labor are merely paying for their crimes. |
| ..Hive of Scum and Villainy? |
Concerned Slaver 9:11pm, January 06, 2006 [Edit] [Delete] | ..What are you insane?! Its not our faults the citizens of Tatooine won't leave the planet to find labour in many of the several poorly undermaned labour facilities in the New Republic or Imperial Space. Or Even Hutt Space! The Slave Trade has been a tradition on Mos Eisley and has been one of our cheif exports! Hell, you take slavery away and you cripple the majority of major mining, production and open market companies here on Tatooine!
So you shut yourself up! I won't limite my slave trading cause some citizens think its "aprehendable". Hell, I'll start selling to Shinra if your worried about a few greasy customers. Have you forgotten this is Tatooine!? There ain't nobody in the Universe tougher'n us. So go frack yourself, sit on a Bantha Horn and SPIN! |

William Sanjet 10:48pm, January 06, 2006 [Edit] [Delete] | Although the corporation appreciates the support, we do not condone illegal slave trade. Like we stated, our servants are undergoing a sentence and that is the position they are in. We do not condone innocent people being sold into slavery against their own will.
The servants are fulfilling their debt to society. Each of them has undergone the judicial process and this is their sentence. Like we stated before, these servants cannot flee or return to their original ways. Each person that is sentenced to the servant allocation program has been re-educated and is fitted with technology that that would incapacitate them or kill them if they made an attempt to escape.
As for the effect of the economy, the corporation is aware of these things and would do nothing that would hamper the creation of jobs. Those purchasing servants are allowed no more then two. With all the new improvements being made to the city, such as the collesium, mako reactors, and production lines for Shinra products, the amount of jobs needed are endless. We encourage Tatooine citizens to take these jobs, which garuentee liveable salaries and benefits.

Chairman Chenko 9:04pm, January 07, 2006 [Edit] [Delete] | I Challenge the GWAM to step up and protect the liberty of all Tatooine Citizens. Let not the lives lost over the past years be for naught, the expulsion of the Hutts and the destruction of hundreds of illegal operations must no be forgotten , for in doing so will cause them to rise again. The Bestine City council will assist the GWAM in such operations in whatever ways we can. |
| |
Thomas Stryker 9:39pm, January 07, 2006 [Edit] [Delete] | Should GWAM try to push it's views and beliefs upon others through force, it will be considered an occupying force and be treated as such. I would like to also point out that the Bestine city council has no authority over Tatooine as a whole. You need to cease with the political maneuvering, Chenko. |
| |
Some Random Character 11:52pm, January 07, 2006 [Edit] [Delete] | Illegal operations? Theres such a thing as legality on this planet? I still don't understand Wolfram and Hart being here! WHo needs a lawyer when. there. is. no law!? ...WHooooooo |
| Uhhh... |
Concerned Slaver 2:42am, January 08, 2006 [Edit] [Delete] | ..Illegal? Whats illegal on this planet? I went out to my house the other day and culled three slaves that talked back to me. I later raped a small child and fed her to my pet panther. Then I jay walked across a street and exposed myself to a single mother. Following this I walked up to the Imperial Consulate and announced what I did. They asked if I wanted to join the Stormtrooper Corps. I flew over to Anchorhead and told an authority there. He asked me not to take up his time. I went to Bestine but with the amount of soap boxes I had to climb over I just said fuck it and killed six more people. Then I went home and went to bed.
Then I woked up read someone challanged GWAM to help protected my freedom to do what I want. Thats awesome. So GWAM, if you could go kill the Bestine Council, I feel they are threatening my freedom by suggestion some...kind of..lawful..society.
Thanks! Love and kisses.

| Bestine State of Affairs |
Chairman Chenko 5:41am, January 08, 2006 [Edit] [Delete] | After deliberation and many meeting, the Council of Bestine is once again declaring is Slavery-free Status and once again we will be increasing our security status, all non citizens will be required to obtain Identification papers at any of the four operating city gates. These papers will serve as a contractual agreement and are required to obtain entrance into the City limits. The Spaceport adjacent to the City is still open to public landing and trading, unless it falls under city law, IE. no Slave trading, NArcotic trading, etc. Once again we are stressing to Bestine Citizens that Narcotics are punishable by incarceration, however, soft drug use, in accordance with the Recreational drug use policy is allowed and registered traders may sell unlimited amount inside of the city as long as they are in accordance with existing tarifs and Identification procedures.
The City of Bestine is still reaching out to Tatooine Cities and settlements for trade, Militia training, and economic improvement. The council has formed agreements not to press issue in other cities that we do not have involvement in.
This is Majority leader Chairman Jake Chenko addressing recent policy change in Bestine. |

Jason Skoal 6:24am, January 08, 2006 [Edit] [Delete] | To all it may Concern, SierraWing will receive any Slaves and give them citzenship pro-temp until they can be delived to the New Republic. This post has been simultaniously posted across the planet and the system. SierraWing does not support slavery but will not let such policies activly impact our corporate mission, Businesses that use slave labor will still receive construction bids from SierraWing and can expect the same quality Workmanship we have always provided to our customer. Thank you and goodnight. |

William Sanjet 6:53am, January 08, 2006 [Edit] [Delete] | On behalf of the corporation, I praise Bestine for being such an upstanding city, not wanting filth and corruption to run through their streets.
But we do find offence that you feel our business falls under the same category. We offer indentured servants, strictly regulated and perfectly legal. Yet you condone minor drug use, something that ethically, falls on the same level.
We wish to help improve the economy of the entire planet, but I assure you that in time, Mos Eisley will be the economic empire of this great planet, a cultural mecca in the desert. Since we're so generous, I invite diplomats and politicans of Bestine to move the capital here, before their city becomes a bunch of deserted buildings.
On an end note, I'd like to notify Chairman Chenko that he will recieve a visit from our lawyers in the near future. |
