[Delete] | Today a disc with the recorded conversation between PLANT leader Paptimus Contrast and Dread Conglomerate leader Ace Kaelton was released to the general press. Although the person who submited the disc remains unnamed a statement was released by General Kael shortly afterward.
"I am shocked and horrified to learn that PLANT leader Paptimus Contrast is infact working with Dread Conglomerate leader Ace Kaelton in the continued hostilities toward the people of Mos Eisley, furthermore the fact that Commander Kaelton openly admits that the previous attack was planned and further attacks can be expected. Seeing that the leader of PLANT finds illegal activities and untruths more appealing then the protection of the people of this planet, as a private citizen I call for him to stand down and until a proper leader can be elected, power be turned over to ZAFT to act as an intergovernment. I believe that their strict military stance and belief in justice will assure the peoples of Tatooine and Mos Eisley we be protected from any illegal invasions from the currupt and hostile Dread Conglomerate or any other allied organization, until a new, strong leader can be elected."
*Across Mos Eisley and Tatooine the discs data is spred as news holocasts are quick to pick up the political scandal. Even systems outside of the tatto system are picking the story up, helped along by Kaels connections. Its all verified by even the best slicers that the recording is bonofied and not a fake or some work of a master programer*

*Paptimus steps up to the podium, frowning.*
Many people have been checking the recording. I am sure you are waiting for me to say how it is fake- -that Kaelton never admitted to attacking Mos Eisley. Or that when he did, I stood up, and drove my blazing, sword of pure rightiousness through his chest, demolishing his dark and black soul, and then ate his very starship or something as equally dramatic.
But I am here, intead, to tell you that it is true.
*The recording, of course, is true. You can check it in the logs, but basically, Ace says they're going to attack Tatooine, Paptimus talks about philosophy of why this shit keeps happened, war=bad, tells Ace that Ace is being no better than the Imps that are bad, and then says that he'd cooperate with the DC if given proof that there was a weapon development arena in the middle of the city.*
I am greatly dissapointed at this data being made publically available. I had already begun to share this information with my allies, when this story broke. I had hoped to handle this peacefully. To obtain proof of the Imperials Wrongdoing, or of their innocence. If the Consulate turned out to be a front, I had already taken steps with the GWAM towards evacuating part of the city in case military action was required. But I wished to settle this matter without a single shot being fired.
I still intend towards that goal.
It is true that, evidentally, there is an Imperial Agent inside the deepest members of the PLANT Parliment.
It is also true that I met with Ace Kaelton and he illustrated continued agression towards Mos Eisley. This can all be seen in this recording.
I will not deny it's existance. You have all seen it. But everyone here knows, that I am a man who values the truth. And in the recording, I speak truth. There is no conspiracy. There is no alliance between the PLANT Allied Council at the Dread Conglomerate.
*Behind him, the holo of the recording play, and stops on Paptimus' face as he says "I will not allow Mos Eisley to be gutted." It's one of stony determination.*
These are not the words of a conspiracy. These are the words of a man ready to fight not only for his own life, or his country, but those of his allies. For the lives of those near him.
Including that of those who would defame my character for their own personal gain. General Kael, this is quite a spin on my steadfast dedication to the people of the Tatoo Sphere.
During the attack, it was ZAFT who gave medical aide to the city and to the consulate first. It was PAF forces who assisted the GWAM in evacuating the wounded. It was PAF Officers whom delt with removing harmful radiation from the atmosphere of Mos Eisley.
When a secondary strike was threatened, I moved to shield the Consulate. Not out of any great love for the Empire- -the Empire was at best, a fascist regime. They would anihilate entire planets. As I say in the recording, they are the greed and hatrid of humanity made flesh.
No, I wished to put myself between the Conglomerate and the Consulate out of concern for those around and near the Consulate. Out of care for the people of Mos Eisley. To prevent such atrocities from happening again.
And you do not prevent war by waving your sword at every threat that comes your way.
I urge you, the people of the PLANTs, of the colonies, of Tatooine, and surrounding star systems, not to fall into the trap of the oldtype. Not to hate, fashionably, those who may do you wrong- -but to learn from the mistakes that humanity has fallen prey to time, and time again.
War with the Dread Conglomerate is not to be bandy about as if it were a rightous game.
Kael calls for Justice? As do I. I demand that he allow PAF officers to tour, search, and censure the Imperial Consulate immedietly.

How can you demand the surrender of imperials under the pretense of just cause?!
Before you ask for someone to confess their sins perhaps you should be ready to confess your own. The Imperials you seek are not the imperials responcible for the destruction of Alderaan.
The Dread Conglomerate in my eyes are as bad as what they preach against. Let's not forget that it was original a republic, the very people we trusted with our lives, who created the Empire under Palpatine. People made hell, and by doing these things People are creating the same hell and opression again.
It's sad and sick to think the colonies are merely trying to soften this fact for people to so they can get their way. Like hiding protesters from the cheering crowd some the cheering crowd won't realize there are others complaining and wonder why. They don't trust you with knowledge...
Let's just name Tatooine Capital of the "United Rim Empire." And give the Dread Conglomerate a reason to attack us every time they feel like they need to rub in the idea that anyone baring the name "Imperial" is automatical guilty of the sin of blasting their planet to rubble!
Complain people! Don't let the government think or tell you what to do! Your not pawns! Resist and show them that they really are just a minority and YOU are the majority!
