The TIE Advanced was the fighter used by Darth Vader during the Battle of Yavin. It was one of several prototypes fielded by Sienar Fleet Systems.
The TIE Advanced featured a custom-designed spaceframe and a reinforced durasteel-alloy hull. It´s bent wing design was later incorporated into the design of the TIE Interceptor.
In addition to twin, front mounted laser cannons, the TIEAdvanced featured shield generators and a modest hyperdrive system. The TIE Advanced was produced in modest numbers, and was finally discontinued due to excessive cost and the production of the TIE Interceptor.

The first TIE Defender prototype was built shortly before the Battle of Endor. The vessel pepresented a radical departure from conventional TIE design by featuring three sets of solar collection panels mounted at equal points around the cockpit.
The Defender´s numerous weapon systems allow it to engage multiple enemy fighters, while the hyperdrive system permits it to function independently of support ships or carriers.
It is one of the fastest fighters ever used by the Empire, with nearly a 40% increase in sublight speed over the standard TIE.

Capsule: The ´Crawdad´ scout ship is carried on the outside of the Blackbirds hull. (It takes 5 turns to launch.) It can travel in about any type of atmosphere, and is extremely fast underwater. The Plasma Torch, mainly used for cutting away obstructions, can also be used defensivly. This craft was added to the Blackbird for to increase it´s already formidable scouting abilities. With this craft, the Blackbird can search 25% more terrain 3X as quickly as a conventional Recon craft. The Proton Torpedo launchers are the crafts main defense, so the regular load is 15 torepedos per tube. This ship, created to scout out Rebel bases inside the Rebellion´s own territory, which is a job it proved remarkably well suited to. But as the Empire lost control of the galaxy, the remaining Imperials could not afford its hefty price tag. Abor Motors had no other succesful craft, so it began selling it to the public, although only in the Core Systems. It has proved very succesfull and is available at starports around the Core.

This ship is designed purely for personnel exchange between ships within a fleet. It it not very fast, nor maneuverable, and is a sitting duck in a fight, however it serves its purpose perfectly. It has airlocks on every side, and of nearly every possible configuration, so
there is almost no ship it cannot dock with. It has the capacity to ferry up to ten individuals, with a small amount of baggage.

This exploration vessel was commissioned by the Radel MiningCompany for exploration of systems for mineral and other wealth. It´sprimary mission therefore is survey and exploration of remote systems. As such it is a highly pecialised craft. The bulk of the price goesin the state of the art scientific equipment, including : sensitivespectral scanners, magnetometers, IR and UV scanners, laser core samplers among others. These craft also always have two modified B1
Worker droids, equipped specifically for the current mission. The tractor beam is used primarily for taking samples without having to land the craft, and the laser is barely adequate for defensive purposes.
The ship´s design was a challenge for Elrood Star Yards
engineers, having to incorporate large carrying capacity, long range and high stability to protect the delicate instruments on board. As such, the final design was also suitable for luxury craft and other purposes. Versions of this craft, stripped of their scientific equipment can be bought from Elrood Star Yards for re-fitting as the buyer sees fit.

This craft is designed for fast transport of sensitive cargoes. Designed by the same company who manufacture the phenominally successful X-wing starfighter, this ship utilises many of the X-wing´s design features. It´s fast hyperspace speed and good defensive capabilities make it well suited to delivering urgent, critical cargoes. It is also highly useful for contraband cargo deliveries, however Incom does not really want to know exactly what these craft are being used for.

Designed to get troops onto ships whose shields havedropped, the Grappler has twice as many magnetic clamps as otherships of it´s class, all of which on in it´s front arc. Thecutting laser and the repeating blasters only emerge from theirmountings when the ship is docked. After the cutting laser opensa hole in the target ship, the repeating blasters immediatelybegin firing, clearing any defenders from the path of theattacking troops. Grapplers are used by both Imperial and NewRepublic forces, and have been seen in the fleets of manyindependent operators, most notably pirates and privateers.

The Thunderbolt is a spy ship that was introduced simultaniously with the X-Wing, and has seen extensive use since then. The usual mission profile of the Thunderbolt is reconassance around the edges of occupied systems, retreving data from or carefull examination of proposed sites of bases, both for the Republic, and for the Empire. Those smugglers that have gotten their hands on a Thunderbolt tend to use it for very, very
expensive cargos, as a Thunderbolt can out run anything in hyperspace, and just about anything else if it can´t get into hyperspace.
To further enable it to avoid pursuit, the Thunderbolt is equipped with Phantom Torpedos. When these are fired, they produce a sensor signature that looks a good deal like that of the Thunderbolt. The Torpedo will acelrate away from the Thunderbolt at almost the same speed, and after a twenty second fuel burn will continue at that speed until it disintegrates, a process that can last for three hours. When the Sensor mask is
engaged, the signature of the Thunderbolt is blurred enough to make it indistinguishable from the pods. A thunderbolt can carry up to six Torpedo, but that fills it´s entire cargo bay. The usual load is three torpedos.

The Getabout was Corellian Engineering Corporation´s attempt to bring the space ship market to the common individual. It was designed
to be like the average family´s airspeeder, but for use between systems. The craft is basically just a people transport, and as such is not extremely roomy, nor does it have a great storage capacity. Luxury was minimised to keep the price tag within the upper-middle class of most space tech planets. It is equipped with some items to make hyperspace jumps less tedious including a music player and a small holochess set.
The ship is appointed much the same as a upper end airspeeder, with plush comfortable seats and a cloth interior with trim. With the
intention that passengers remain seated throughout the journey, the seats are able to rotate so they can face forward, or turn to face
each other with the chess table in the centre. Five people can be transported this way.
The ship was probably more successful than it should have been, but this is mostly because nobody else thought of it and it has
cornered the market. Most civilians choose to travel by charter or on inter-system liners rather than in their own personal craft, as a
result, no competitor models have ever been released onto the market.

42. Starwing Missile boat
The Missile boat was designed when Admiral Zarrin´s campaign against the Empire´s TIE fighter R&D and construction facilities reached at all time high. Zarrin could have continued his war against the Empire for some time, thanks to his technological edge, granted by his fleet of TIE Defenders- prompting the production of the Missleboat. Using a standard Starwing XG-1 Gunboat as the base design, the Missleboat is extremely fast, very maneuverable and armed with 4 specially designed missile racks with an overall payload of up to 80 concussion missiles. The missile boat was built with the idea to take out TIE Defenders in mind. The Missile boat is currently the cutting edge of spaceship technology. It is by far the fastest, most maneuverable, and heavily armed starfighter in use today. Because of the SLAM overthruster, the advanced systems and increased payload, the ship comes with a very steep price tag. The Empire is understandably careful with the handful they have. The Missile boat doesn´t see a great deal of use, except in special engagements.

43. TIE Phantom
After the battle of Yavin and the destruction of the Death Star, the Rebels Alliance proved that they were a serious threat to the Empire. The Empire forced to take that threat seriously, responded with new technology and weapons such as the Dark Trooper project and the TIE Phantom. The TIE Phantom research, under the direction of Admiral Sarn, was conducted in the Dreighton Nebula. The Nebula, the site of a major battle in the Old Republic was rumored to be haunted and the source of ships mysteriously disappearing. This provided perfect cover for development of a top secret stealth starfighter.
The TIE Phantom packs slightly above normal firepower for a starfighter of it´s class. However the main improvement of the ship was a cloaking device. With the stealth shield in place, short and long range delectability of the ship was almost non-existent.
