This isnt a fresh-from-the-anger-farm-rant. its 7 am, ive thought about it most of the night, while being an insomniac any way.
If you bother to comprehend any thing of the fallowing, and take it in to consideration, I'll be suprised. please as piss, even...
At this point, I dont give a fuck about what any one's intentions were. People had issues, and it was as if there was no issue to be adressed. you dont want it to turn in to some kind of caps-locks free for all, then you stop for a few god damn minutes out of your oh-so-important RPG, and you adress the issue, either over an AIM confrence or requesting Civil OOC chat. if you believe that will be dificult, then you request the argument/discussion be delt with in a more civilised and mature manmer out-right, dont be afraid of offending any one.
Ignoring the issue, or just "not responding" doesnt make it go away. it just makes it worse, untill sooner or later, some thing gives, breaks, and you have a mess. a mess which could have been resolved in a much better way then just "suicide bombing" the chat to death, in hopes that the handfull of people with complaints get discouraged and go away. This action, like ignoring the issue, to me, gives a certain air of dictatorship that I for one hate, with every fiber of my being. It teeters on the border of power corruption, and is digusting.
Now that THAT issue is out of the way, some thing slightly more personal would be... Lay off Cru. You guys honestly dont give him enough credit, time, comprehension, or respect. I suppose thats fine some times when youre doing your thing, joking around with him, whatever... but he's a part of this chat too, AND a human being -- and if any of you took the time to, you woud notice that he is a good guy, really REALLY good friend, and he does care about all of you.
Im done. If you want me to go away, just IM me. It will keep me from getting annoyed or discuraged, by not showing up, any way. |

[Delete] | Well, my long rant is gone due to me clicking the wrong button... But I'll keep it plain and simple. No one decides what plots and factions are and are not allowed. Not me, not Zon, not Cru or anyone else. If it doesn't fit into your plan, oh well. Adapt, respond and roll with it. Quit focusing on what could happen if someone stronger than you showed up and bitching OOC and plan on how you're going to defend yourself IC. Cru has done a lot for this chat, I'll be the first to admit it (but only once...). But he's not the only one RPing here. Everyone else has just as much right to run a faction and advance their tactical and strategic goals (within reason, ie: No universal rape with an uber weapon). If that includes Tatooine, fine. Try to occupy, let the players respond. But if this OOC bitching keeps up, it will be forced to AIM. Just because you don't like it, don't ruin it for others. |

If I choose to not get in the middle of a damn argument because I don't wanna deal with the damn stress level, and/or have a lack of opinion on the subject than I will damn well keep my mouth shut. Last I checked it's still a free country, I can choose to say or not say something if I want to. You have a problem with that, again, not caring. You won't have to hear from me come April. I'll be out of this gods forsaken hell hole and to a happier place(or so I hope). You wanna ban me for the next two months because I choose not to say "Hey idiots stop bitching and rp" then fine, go right the hell ahead. That's just extra time for me not to deal with this crap. News flash, the world does not revolve around the chatroom. It's supposed to be a break from reality, a place to relax, have fun, and use our imaginations. If I wanted to argue with everyone, I'd pick more fights with my parents.

[Delete] | Ignoring the argument is the greatest form of personal freedom that I can think of. Why the hell would I get involved in an administrative function before the argument sprials into something that's detrimental to the people who are trying to just chat or RP? That's called censorship, and censorship makes baby jesus cry. If this was a real "dictatorship" I would have stepped in and just perm banned both of them at the first sign of dissent. Disagrement is healthy. So long as you guys don't break out the Caps and Bold, I don't give a damn what you talk and argue about. Personal attacks and slurs are another matter entirely, but that's not the issue.
You're quite correct, Cru is a really good guy. He's got a bit of a temper problem, though. There are worse disorders. At least it's not rickits, skitzophrenia, or being a Kennedy. One of the reasons I don't respond to his "explosions" is that I value his friendship, and he's got as much right as anyone to get mad.
Make no mistake, though. This is indeed a dictatorship. Everyone ultimately answers to Mike, when he's around. I'm simply here to protect his best interests, and the best interests of the chat. The best interests of the chat don't involve censoring our chatters. Look at that, I just summarized this redundant post in one sentence. Groovy |
