News Channel 36 3:35am, August 07, 2002 [Edit] [Delete] | There have been several Sightings of Tragolite Executive, Jon Perkins in the Eisley area.. Could this signal a new age? |
| Oh yeah.... |
Flying Green Squirel 5:15am, August 07, 2002 [Edit] [Delete] | Another faction clawing away at the lives and money of the tatooine people, enforcing their way of "order" and laws apon the helpless populace. Then again, we could use another good rebellion around here to send a message. |
| You surprise me... |
Gregeory Reikson 3:50pm, August 07, 2002 [Edit] [Delete] | You surprise and disappoint me, Mr. Squirel. I have heard you preach peace many times, and agree with those views. Yet now I hear you encouraging violence? I have yet to see a rebellion which does not cause more harm than good. Sylent Hunters, they supposedly rose against us for the good of Mos Eisley. Yet it wasn´t Ion Storm taking the blows, it was the civilian population. Countless other uprisings have been aimed at Shinra, a corporation forced to create a security team for their own protection. Now, what makes you think that another rebellion would be any different? Do you really think the common man in Mos Eisley wants to take up arms and cause more bloodshed, more pain? Lose another brother? Over what? A washed out military organization who´s commander has returned to Mos Eisley? As for the vigilantes you speak of, they are dealt with accordingly. I praise Shinra for their work against those so called "Rangers". As for Ion Storm and MEPD, we are here to protect the people from the threats which have become an everyday occurance. The people of Mos Eisley are far from helpless, which has been proven time and time again. But how many of them have the knowledge in warfare to defend against a battle hardened miltiary force? We would one day like to see the disarment of Tatooine, we do not enjoy what we are forced to endure. We, as well as many citizens of this great city simply keep pushing towards the future while trying to protect the present. |
| Let me explain this. |
Flying Green Squirrel 8:38pm, August 07, 2002 [Edit] [Delete] | I was refering to the period before Ion Storm and the MEPD wern´t in power and the Tragolite Federation was in power. The people quickly rebeled under their power and refused to be opressed. We do believe war and violence are wrong, yet, we also don´t tolerate dictatorsips, which by the looks of your first post, suggest a return to the old ways by how it was worded. |
| Old ways... |
Gregeory Reikson 11:24pm, August 07, 2002 [Edit] [Delete] | Yes, it would be nice, but it would be our undoing. Times have changed, more hostiles have shown themselves than just the Slith. The face of warfare has also changed. The goal is no longer to occupy, but to decimate. While the so called old ways were great, I do not see it possible to return to the past. We must work together to mold the future. We must find a way to disarm the many factions and groups, hostile and friendly alike. Only then can we disarm the tensions. I hearby call all factions, Ion Storm, Shinra, Rangers, Sylent Hunters, Mos Eisley Police included to the table. No arms, no war, only words. I do believe we can create a better tomorrow, but it can only be achieved by the actions of today.
