Radio Free Mars 10:33pm, July 24, 2003 [Edit] [Delete] | Welcome to another pirated thread of Radio Free Mars!! The only news source that gives the people of Tatooine what they want. The Truth.
First up on this brodcast, the war with The Duchy of Starfield has come to a calm standstill. For awhile, the airspace above the planet looked like a used starship lot, yet no real major occurances of war have....well...occured. Which is a good thing I guess, but whenever it does start, lets just say have your bombshelters ready. This isn't going to end pretty and we all know it. The economy's improving though and commerce is as strong as ever. We'll bring you more as the war progresses.
Next up, on our Radio Free Exclusive, we take you into the deep deserts of Tatooine. Although we've been distracted by war, a few of our undercover reporters have been risking their lives to bring you valuable information on possible threats lurking in the Waste. Tatooine has seen their share of various Cults over the years. In the past few months, we have been watching two in particular.
The first group is known as the Blades of the Waste. These individuals are part of a religion that has become very popular with the nomads of the desert. These individuals follow the teachings and manuscripts of the Swordsman Marcus Aiel, their diety. Marcus Aiel lead the Nomads aginst the cities of Tatooine years ago in an attempt to cleanse the planet from "foreign invaders" and bring peace tp his people. He was killed shortly before the first explosion of tatooine.
Although a peaceful group these days, the cult has grown a bit hectic these days with talk of a second comming of the warrior. Various shrines and such are scattered about the desert, pilgrims flocking to these religious sites more and more in the past weeks. Although they seem to be growing strong, it looks to be just another hokey religion, a lot like that jedi nonsense.
The second group though seems to be a much greater threat. The Cult of Thanatos, although smaller in numbers, these people are dangerous, preforming occult rituals, human sacrifice, self mutililation, and ritual suicide. *Hidden camera footage is shown of a small group of jawas ceremonialy killed with daggers and ripped to shreds.* The Cult Proclaims that Thanatos still walks among us, waiting for when the time is right to build his paradise. Although certain reports claim Thanatos was destroyed, we don't really know what the case is. The cult's locations are hidden throughout the desert, the old city, and there's even rumors that certain worshiping sites are in the city itself. We don't have any exact locations since many of our reporters died getting us this information or just plain vanished. We reccomend that you stay away from these individuals as they are extremely dangerous and unpridictable.
With that, we now let you return to the War in progress. This is Radio Free Mars. G'night. |
