I shall try and arrange leave as soon as you folks get the dates.
This time there shall be no evil deployment to stop me from annoying the living fuck out of you all. And dont tempt me, because I -do- have a Robotech flightsuit costume.
Gorny, we're trying for memorial day weekend again. An pH, I just found out what Megatron drunk monster was last night... As fearsome as that is... THE POWER OF JACK COMPELS ME!
If it's around memorial day, I probably won't make it. I still don't have a job, and this is the kind of thing I need to plan way in advance for. In addition, I'd prefer it being later in the year, since we know the Star Trek Experience is opening sometime in 2010, but not exactly when, supposedly early. That got a little rambly, but the point is, the Star Trek Experience is a Cantinacon must do.
So, yeah, that's my vote, but as long as Vegas is in the cards for a future Cantinacon, I can skip it this time again.
Hi. Ok. Speaking as one who has been to Vegas in the summer time, and winter time, I must heavily press this one very blatent fact about Vegas--- 'Summer' taking to mean any month in spring, summer, and fall. ....
If you go outside for more than 20 minutes, YOU WILL DIE.
I kid you not.
They have signs there telling people--politely--to stay indoors for their health. You will dehydrate faster than a grape in a prune factory. Seriously. Holding the Cantinacon in any part of normal summer and fall is a tremendously BAD idea.
I vote for as late in fall as you can get: October, preferably November, or as early in spring as you can get: February, March, or April.
Please listen to my warning. I'm not just blowing steam out of my cute ass. Summer in Las Vegas will DESTROY you.
