The Republic seal is replaced with Tassimek sitting behind a large desk rather than on the podium within the senate chambers as most speeches are done. “Today I come before the people of the galaxy, not just those of the Republic. Not long ago a historical event took place in the Tatoo system, where a madman attempted to overthrow the legal government of the Remnant, declared himself emperor of the universe, revealed another Death Star, and proceeded to attack every imaginable faction out there.
Many of the factions were able to put aside differences and come together in defense of the Tatoo system and the Route of Ages, destroying this new threat, and his oversized machine of destruction.
I wish to build upon the cooperation found in this united defense, to once again extend our hand in friendship to every faction, to bring a peace to the galaxy as a whole. While we may not all agree on how to get things done, or how things should be Ran, one thing is certain, our rights as factions and nations to exist should not be given over to one man with delusions of grandeur. To all of the factions out there I thank you for your sacrifice of people and material.”

“The People of the New Republic our losses, as always, are devastating but necessary to ensure our freedoms. In his declaration of war this madman referred to the empire as order and control, but only from the fear and oppression of the people. Freedom and order are a hard balance, one we strive to make every day in the senate, ensuring the security of our people, without oppressing their thoughts, beliefs and their rights.
One of our losses was a man who had joined the Republic not so long ago, bringing experience and training and opened a world of alien ideas and technologies to us. Major Hawke Karbn will be remembered for his assistance in our fledgling Stargate program, and his quirky remark about making the impossible, possible. He will be posthumously promoted to the rank of full Colonel, and awarded the Republic Medal of Honor. He will also be recognized as a Jedi Knight by the Order, an example of selfless sacrifice for the good of the galaxy.” The picture then fades, playing some low forlorn trumpet sounding music, followed by a list of names of those lost by the Republic.
