See, In an effort to creatively get the word out on the status of the Thanatos sims, I put together a little two TV guide synopsis. Now, des everyone remember the Casting Couch from Wizard Magazine? *VEG*
Thanatos: Confrontation (Part ten of ten) will be sometime Saturday Night.
TV Guide Synopsis: "The Thanatos miniseries, and the whole arc, should draw to a close in this four hour special extraviganza. The forces of good must face numerous threats from their past, the castle itself, until they finally confront Thanatos themselves. But will they prevail?"
"Thanatos: David Peckenpah. Jek: Thomas Lenk. Ash: Bruce Campbell. Guest Starring Casper Van Dien as CybeRico."
Thanatos: Arena. Part five of six (or six of six) has been given permission to be unpaused. Air date TBA, but expected to be either tonight or tomorrow.
TV Guide Synopsis: "Shane Mehbrawn faces down William Quijano in the final battle for the lives of Toxic, Crista, and Leon. Will the jedi prevail? and if so, will it be through Justice or Revenge?"
"Shane Mehbrawn: Jason Biggs. William Quijano: Antonio Banderez. Leon Hudson: Ben Savage. Guest Starring Keanu Reeves as Toxic Marsh"
Aside from that I can't fucking spell the name of our favorite Dsperado, some of these choices were spot on. Lets explain!
Thanatos: David Peckenpah. He is the man that killed Sliders. He is the most evil producer in the history of existance. So he should play the God of Death, Thanatos.
Jek Nado: Thomas Lenk. Otherwise known as "Andrew" from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. While he plays a huge geek on Buffy, he's also an actor. He's lanky with blonde hair that can be easily spiked up high. Put him in a red leather trenchcoat and have him put on a voice that a bit deeper and more goofy than whiney, and WHAM! Vash the Stampdede.
Ash and Rico...well, duh.
Shane Mehbrawn...eh. I was just kidding on this one. Maybe Colin Farrel for real?
William Quijano: This is a no brainer, I thought. But Mike may have other ideas...Jean Reno, maybe?
Leon Hudson: hehehe. I'm just kidding. I don't really know any talented actors who could pull it off, being the 17 Leon and THAT big of an asshole.
Toxic Marsh: Obviously, Keanu Reeves circa Bill and Ted.
But these are just some random choices. Anybody else got ideas? What do you think of your characters, if you had to pick an actor to play them?
(First person to say "My jedi char would be played by Mark Hammel" gets one in the face.) |

Though honestly, I think Newman is a better choice for Shane. He's too young to play Buzz- -Buzz is supposed to be looking about 184 going on 30, right?
Eddie Furlong is actually a pretty good choice, but he played "pissed off teenager" in '92. How old is he now? If he could pull off looking like a 17 year old, I'd say that's a spot on choice.
OR! Vincent Karthiser (Connor), from Angel. Only with a haircut. Damn Hippie.
Cornelius? Hmm....I could go with the obvious and say Tony Head, but I think I'm gonna go with...uh, I don't know. ...um...Charlton Heston? I'll get back to you on that one...
Tom Wilson? Slider's blatanly Ben Browder.
