Username Password Topic Cheif of State to Resign? -Coruscant Rumors have begun to spread that the current Cheif of State, Princess Leia Organna Solo may be resigning her position although no offical word has come from her office as of yet. "I cannot confirm if she does intend to resign from her post, But several factors in her life, the stabalizing of the Republic, her familys growing up, and the constant reminder of her heriatage has brought her towards the conclusion that it might be time to move on." Stated Second of State Tassimek (Dac). Naturally this rumor has stirred a hornets next of commotion in the Senate, and has quickly spread outward, bringing up the quesiton of who will replace her. Her term still has five years left before a reform bill will take effect. this Reform bill will sets a Cheif of State's term to Five years for an unlimited number, and will make the election of the Cheif of State a popular vote of the people, instead of the former election by the senate. Tassimek would become Cheif of State if Leia Organna did Resign, although a few senators are calling for elections now rather than five years from now. Already many belive she will retire, and have prepared for Tassimek's Elevation to Cheif of state, with supposed Ponc Gavrisom (Calibop) currently severing as President of the Senate, taking over as Second of state. A month in which the Republic honors those fighting for its continued existance, with a primary focus on the ships of the Navy. It stared as a single week but in time has grown to be a month long, with idependant celebrations held all over the republic. Each year Four main sights are chosen, and a majority of the Senators and Guests of honor who participate will be found there. this year the sites will be Coruscant, Corellia, Sullust, and finished on Dac. Warnings for travel through the Republics boarderlands -Tanos The New Reupbilic Naval Advisories have issued warnings for civilian public to try and avoid travle near the republics boarders. An increase upon shipping and outposts have been reported in some areas, and the upswing in the war on pirate fleets has lead to several bloody engagments. "While the Navy is capable of handling itself in these situations, the possiblity of civlian starships being ambushed and captured or destroied is great, and we would avice anyone who must travel along these regions to seek well guarded public transportation" Stated the breif advisory which also listed several of the hottest spots along the border.
