"The unicorn was white, with hooves of silver and a graceful horn of pearl. She stepped daintily over the heather, scarcely seeming to press it with her airy trot, and the wind made waves in her long main, which had been freshly combed. The glorious thing about her was her eyes. There was a faint bluish furrow down each side of her nose, and this led up to the eye-sockets, and surrounded them in a pensive shade. The eyes, circled by this sad and beautiful darkness, were so sorrowful, lonely, gentle and nobly tragic, that they killed all other emotion except love."

Descriptions:
Human: She is an etherial woman, pale and slender, with a grace akin to silk flowing in the wind. Her hair, like strands of the finest silk, flows like a silver waterfall, cascading down her back. Her skin is pale, and smooth as satin, almost shimmering with radiance from the magic within her. Her dark eyes, like bottomless pools, hold within them such emotion that one can always tell weither she is happy or sad, by simply looking at those beautiful dark orbs.

Unicorn: A dainty creature of silver and white, that prances merrily through the forests. She is white, purer then the snow, except for darker spots, blue-grey, around her muzzle, her ankles, around her dark blue eyes, and a faint streak leading up from her tail to halfway up her back. Her mane and tail flash like liquid silver, flaring out in waves behind her as she runs fleeter then any deer through the grass.

History: Much of the past of Aurora is unneeded information. There are, however, a few highlights to her past that are important. The first being her former location at Krondor. She lived near there, enchanting a section of woods. Most knew to avoid the area she often dwelled, for hunting yieled no results and people coming to cut down the trees never seemed to get to her area. It was a safe haven of the forest, where only pure hearts were welcome.

All this changed with the attack on Krondor. The blood shed even breached her safe haven, spooking the unicorn into fleeing as the trees of her forest were felled about her. Thus she ran, heading steadily South until there was no hint of smoke behind her. She might have stopped, and found a new bit of forest to call her own, but she was already headed South. She had a sister she would go to.

Thus why Aurora traveled all the way South to Ruapenchi. To find Acorna. Whom she did meet up with, and they bonded for awhile before ending up going in seperate directions once more, even with dwelling in the same area.

There were some various adventures had. Some brief friendships made. Most of which she's forgotten in some rather truamatic happenings that came about.

Nightmares and unicorns are notorious for their dislike of one another. Thus when a nightmare, Darrius, who had apparently been driven off his normal Nightmare ways by madness into deciding it was him who was to be the Hand of Death rather then the bringer of bad dreams, came across Aurora the old blood hatred of Nightmares to Unicorns flared up. He did not outright kill her, as many other nightmares might have. Instead, he opted to draw it out. Thus he kidnapped her, threw her into a dungeon, and after some taunting came in and with a mighty swing smote the pearly horn from her forehead.

That was the single most truamatic experience of Aurora's life. Something she still has yet to recover from.

Promptly after this, Darrius plucked up her horn and left. With the de-horning came the invincibility, something she put to good use as in a burst of insanity she managed to fight her way from the cell and charge after Darrius, intent on getting back her horn. It didn't take very long for the nightmare to catch on about the field protecting the unicorn while watching guards try to bring her down, and not being able to hurt her himself, and he quickly saw a way to use this to advantage. Thus started the web of lies, the deciet that he pulled Aurora into. He began to take careful care of her, cultivating her caring for him, while pulling off the wrong he had done her as him simply trying to make her stronger.

One might wonder how this unicorn could have been so stupid and blind as to fall for it. This was, however, cultivated over time after an occurance which drove her more then a little mad. The loss of a horn for a unicorn is no laughing matter. Words cannot begin to describe the wrenching feelings it brings. And to be honest, she wanted to believe him. He distracted her from her pain, brought her up so that she could smile despite the overwhelming wrongness she felt with the loss of her horn. The only problem for Darrius was, while convincing the unicorn he cared and just wanted to help her, while cultivating her along for his own uses, he actually did start to have feelings for her. Thus has happened something thought impossible, a Nightmare getting over the blood deep hatred to care for a unicorn.

Aurora followed Darrius, never straying too far from him. He was, in essence, a safety blanket for the truamatized unicorn. And she had it bad with caring for him, so even with the evidence before her of how bad Darrius is, she does not see. Delusions only last so long however, and when given the oppurtunity to have her horn restored, she fled from his side.
