Name: answers to "Rosa"

Gender: Female

Race: Human

Age: Unknown, appears to be in her mid twenties

Height: 5'4"

Weight: 130 lbs

Appearance: Rosa is an athletic girl with well-toned muscles on a slim figure. She has long pink hair and aquamarine eyes. She also has some faint scars and callouses from all of her years spent in the wild.

Personality: Rosa is insatiably curious and friendly. She is easily startled and if someone seems hostile to her, she'll quickly leave. Otherwise, she sees everyone as a potential friend, although it seems to her that no one ever sticks around for very long. She openly displays her emotions, sometimes even exaggeratedly so. She has absolutely no concept of personal space, even to the point of digging in other people's pants pockets spontaneously simply because she wonders what they're carrying. She is often mistaken for being an idiot because of the way she comes off and her communication problems, but she can actually be quite clever and is a quick learner if anyone ever bothers to sit and teach her anything.

Personality Flaws: She often trusts too easily, which gets her into trouble.

Hobbies/Interests: She is intensely interested in anyone who appears somewhat human and seeks to learn more about them if they're nice. She has a tendency to make strange jewelry and noise makers out of random items. She also loves music, but has no clue where it comes from. Otherwise, just see the skills listed below.

Dreams/Aspirations: To one day make a friend who actually sticks around and to learn this talking game everyone seems to understand the rules for but her.

Weaknesses/Flaws: While she is graceful and agile, sometimes she loses her balance or misjudges distance or has other sorts of clumsy problems that come off rather comically (basically, she is "Georgia of the Jungle"). She has an incredibly limited vocabulary and strange ideas about social norms. Because of this, she often misunderstands others, too, even though she tries her best to communicate anyway.

Place of Origin: Unknown - probably a village somewhere on the mainland when she was too young to remember it. Otherwise, the forest is her home.

Currently Resides: Mainland forest

When she was still a baby, Rosa somehow ended up in the woods alone. Whether it was one of those strange dimensional anomalies that landed her there or if she was simply abandoned, she has no clue. After all, she was just a baby. She was found by a wolf pack, and as the mother wolf had pups who were still nursing, she took the baby girl in as one of her own, as animals sometimes do. So, then, she spent the first few years of her life thinking she was a wolf. She was healthy enough while she was still nursing from mother wolf, but her health started to do a bit more poorly after that as small humans don't do so great on the same diet as a wolf. She wasn't feeling well and had to snuggle very close in with the other wolves to keep from freezing during the winters. When she was old enough to begin reasoning for herself, she realized that the other wolves had fur and she did not, so she started stripping the fur from their meals and wrapping it around herself. It was kind of icky, but she didn't think anything of it. The others thought it was strange at first, but after sniffing her all over, they decided she was fine and it was just the strange furless one doing another strange thing, nothing unusual there.

By some miracle she made it to roughly seven or eight years old living with the wolf family. Then, as luck would have it, she was found by a hunter. He misunderstood what was going on, and shot the wolves who were trying to defend her, thinking they were going to attack. The little girl was very distraught by this, but could do nothing more than cry as she'd never learned to talk, so again she was misunderstood. The hunter took her home with him to meet his wife. They'd never had children of their own, so they thought this was some form of blessing and took the time to try to teach her how to behave like a normal human would. The little girl, after she was over the initial shock of losing her family, became intensely curious about these creatures that looked similar to herself. They had fingers and walked upright had to wear borrowed furs as well, just like her. The wife taught her how to tie knots and do some very basic sewing and how to tan hides. The husband took her out into the forest with him sometimes as well and showed her how to make basic snares for catching small game and had her help him pick berries. She became healthy again with them and learned about all kinds of other foods she'd been missing out on. However, she was mostly unhappy as her new parents often got frustrated with her lack of understanding things that are very basic knowledge for humans. This was also when she learned the words "hey," "no," and "bad girl." On occasion she was also called a good girl, so she learned the difference, but it was certainly not as often. She was only able to stand for so long being scolded for things she didn't understand, all she knew was that she was being yelled at, so after a few months she ran away to live in the forest again. At least now she was better prepared for taking care of herself.

Over the years, Rosa had many random encounters with other talking beings which taught her a few other new things. One fellow found her fishing with her mouth and bare hands and taught her how to fish with a spear, for example. While she was a teenager and young adult, males often called her "hey you sexy babe," so she thought that was her name for the longest time. Others seemed to think this was quite funny when she'd introduce herself, but she had no clue why and was just happy that it made them smile. Finally, she met a bard who decided to give her the name Rosa because of her pink hair, and she decided to stick with that as it was much easier to say and she kind of liked the guy. However, no one ever stayed around her for more than a few days at a time, so her communication skills barely improved at all with time and she was quite lonely. She tried to not let it bother her, though, as she was usually busy enough just surviving one day at a time.
